Santa Rosa Churches:

At Victory Outreach Church of Santa Rosa, we recognize our function within the whole Body of Christ. We are a family oriented  church, which is focused on reaching out and helping the hurting people of the Sonoma County area. We are also committed to helping establish families and equip them with the necessary tools to be productive members of their communities. While our church is sometimes labeled  as the "drug addict" church, or "the gang member church", the truth be known, yes -  we are effective at reaching the addicted, violent and hurting of our society, but we are also first and foremost a family church, which has many developed programs to reach, teach and keep our children for Christ. We serve a large number of social and economic backgrounds, we have thriving senior citizens, College students, and upper to middle class business men and women that are an integral part of our fellowship. We love, value and treasure all of the family that God brings to us.  We understand that there are many different "flavors" of church ministry available within any given community and that people might not always "fit in" to a particular local body of believers. There are a few different things  you should keep in mind when looking for a family church to plant you and your very valuable family in:

Here are 11 questions you should ask:

  1. Is it a true Christian church? Does it hold to the basic tenets of Christian faith there are many different views and interpretations of difficult Bible passages on ways that the body of Christ applies scripture toward basic living. There are non-essential and essential beliefs. Essentials are the basic beliefs about Christianity – if one of them is removed from a church it Is not a historic orthodox Christian church (i.e  the virgin birth, life, death, and resurrection of Christ...) Then there are the non-essentials (non-essential to salvation) (i.e. How to baptize (sprinkle, submerge or hose down, what we believe about the second coming , is tongues for today?, should we use instruments in the church?) Early church father coined the phrase, “in essentials of Christianity there must be unity, in the non-essentials liberty, but in everything charity , let love bind us together). One thing is for sure, you want to find a church that will tell you right up front what it believes. You can find what we believe at the link above.
  2. Does it teach the full council of God’s Word as infallible? (essential)
  3. Does it believe in the Holy Trinity? (essential)
  4. Are leadership and pastor of church living righteous, holy lives before the people – do they have integrity?
  5. Is the church evangelistic? To be healthy it must spread - true community always desires to grow - like a healthy family.
  6. Is the power of God displayed in that church? Are people getting healed, saved, delivered?
  7. Are the children being taught to serve God?
  8. Will you (I) be allowed to use my gift in the church?- is there room for me or am I just another number putting my check in the basket each week? See you next week! That is one thing about Victory Outreach church that differs from many other Santa Rosa churches. Irregardless of our past choices and involvements before Christ, there is opportunity and room for people to get involved in ministry. As a matter of fact, many of the Pastors that we send out all over the world, come from very diverse backgrounds.
  9. Is the church accepting to all walks and races of people no matter what social or economic class they come from?
  10. Is the worship genuine or is it just a plastic song service?
  11. Do you know that you’ve been in the presence of God when you you’ve come to the church – is God moving in your life at that church?

Victory Outreach Santa Rosa is a strong, vibrant, healthy, living, and growing church, but It may not be the church for you! But if it is – if the Lord has called you to worship and work with us, then we would like to formally ask you to commit to our local assembly so that when times get tough (and they will)  if you get offended at people, that  you will hang in here- that you won't run – that you will be a part of this church, a people that Jesus and the pastor can count on!

Will you help us preach the gospel to the world?

Will you help us to reach the hurting people in our city and throughout the world?
