VICTORY OUTREACH PRISON MINISTRY
Victory
Outreach Santa Rosa visits inmates at the North County Detention
Facility, the Main Adult Detention Facility, and San Quentin prison upon
request. Our friendly prison ministry staff will council inmates on a
one-on-one basis and also have a weekly services held on Thursdays of
each week. Our professional contact status within the court system
allows us to visit inmates without interfering with the families limited
visiting abilities. We also make ourselves available to represent* our
program, for inmates that we have been visiting, at the time of their
sentencing hearing to help facilitate a transfer of sentencing into our
recovery homes if the option is available.
If you or a loved one you know needs help or would like to set up a
professional contact visit, spiritual counseling session, or recovery
home court liaison to be at your loved ones hearing please call one of
our qualified staff members to set up an appointment.
*As Para-church professionals we do not offer legal counsel and cannot
advise clients of the best legal course of action. '
I WAS IN PRISON AND YOU VISITED ME
Freedom. It's what every prisoner longs for. Yet, can someone who
grew up with the worst the world has to offer ever realize the best? The
Victory Outreach Prison Ministry not only shows prisoners a new pathway
to personal liberty, but they also walk hand-in-hand with them to insure
they'll reach their goal. For those looking at, living in or just
released from prison, it's a chance to know a freedom they've never
experienced before.
REACHING OUT TO THOSE THAT ARE OFTEN FORGOTTEN
Prison isn't a picnic. That's why Victory Outreach Prison Ministry
makes sure that those who are locked up aren't locked out from
meaningful fellowship. Their volunteers regularly visit those behind
bars. Working with chaplaincy programs, wardens and parole officers,
they reach out to those who are often forgotten. They demonstrate, by
their presence, the unfailing love that has so often eluded them. These
mentor relationships challenge as much as encourage. In short, they
become the friend they often have never known. The result: convicts are
inspired to turn from a life of crime and embrace the opportunities for
their future, becoming productive citizens in our society.
HOPE BEFORE THEY BECOME HARDENED
Everyone knows that to lock up a young person with career criminals
almost insures further corruption. That's why the Prison Ministry works
hand-in-hand with the court system to provide an alternative to
incarceration. First time or minor offenders can come to the Christian
Recovery Homes instead of being sent to prison. The Christian Recovery
Homes program provides a unique opportunity to help someone before they
become hardened criminals, and the justice system is only too happy to
let them step in. Given their proven track record, judges, parole
officers and prosecutors have worked with the Prison Ministry for years.
A PLACE EX-CONVICTS CAN CALL HOME
They did time in prison. But when they're released, an ex-convict
often still has to serve out a terrible sentence: returning to the
environment that helped to corrupt them in the first place-the same drug
dealers, pimps and old "friends" who still want to use them.
They're forced to survive by the rules of the street. Is it any wonder
that so many ex-convicts go right back to a life of crime? Yet, Victory
Outreach Prison Ministry breaks this cycle of destruction through the
proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. They don't just talk about
new life; they provide a unique place of discovery. That place...
Victory Outreach Christian Recovery Homes. Here, in a spiritual
environment, they can discover -- perhaps for the first time -- all that
they can be. These Homes are shelters from the harsh environment they
grew up in, yet they also serve as an intense training ground. Their
program offers both nurturing and tough-love. It's a place of discipline
and discipleship. Their faith-based schedule provides a spiritual
structure that leads to freedom. Most of all, they give them something
they've never known: purpose.
